bekah
My dear friend Rebekah came to visit last weekend. We have so many special memories together and I have been sad that time and life has grown between us. It was a breath of fresh air to see my old friend and share a little piece of our lives together. She of course loved on Oliver and he LOVED her!!
She brought him the cutest orange horsey... his first 1 year old birthday present!! He still hasn't stopped cuddling with it, every night for bed he curls right up on him :)
and the very brave Bekah let him type on her computer...
I was sad to see her go but I know we will talk again soon.

fall weekend with grandma & papa
I had last week off so Oliver and I went on an adventure to Grandma and Papa's house. We left crazy early at 4:30 on saturday morning. Oliver woke up enough to snuggle with me into the car and then slept almost the entire way! By the time we got there he was ready for breakfast... and only at Grandma's do you get to eat breakfast out of a tin plate sitting on the table!
Then he hopped in the bath and again... only at Grandma's do you get to roll around on in the living room naked!! :)
In the afternoon we headed to Oliver's first football game! It was really windy so we had to bundle up good. We watched Bowling Green State University (Papa's team!) play the University of Toledo. Because it was a rivalry game, we got all kind of goodies... thundersticks and cow bells, so much fun.
Look how excited those little eyes are.
When we first came in, the marching band was performing Oliver giggled and watched for such a long time. He loved it.
Here is Oliver and Papa ready to go in their brown and orange.
Snuggling to stay warm.
Grandma, Oliver and Papa... a kids favorite place!
On saturday, we had some of Tom's family over for breakfast. Oliver crawled right past everyone and just wanted to snuggle with Chris... I think he missed his Daddy.
Then he got to play with Uncle D. They built things and knocked them down, wrestled and tickled and checked out the beard.
Buddies.
Check out that mouth full of teeth!!
On monday, Grandma had to work so we got to spend the day with Papa. Oliver was a nonstop boy. In and out of the rocking chair, up and down and into just about everything he could find.
When Grandma got home, we went to get pumpkins.
Oliver found the perfect one for carving.
He even clapped for it.
Papa helped clean it out and carve the face.
He put his hand in to grab the guts but it kept slipping out of his hand.
So papa grabbed it for him.
And of course he had to taste it.
Here comes the jack-o-lantern face.
Grandma and Oliver talking to their new friend.
On Tuesday we were getting ready to leave and Oliver was seeing if there was anything good in the fridge.
We made a quick stop to see Aunt Kathy and Alex. It started out lovely until Kathy got peed on and I knocked over the box of cereal. The best friendships are messy though and it wouldn't be me and Kathy if there wasn't some sort of disaster! I love my dear friend.
and Oliver loves Alex!
My long lost friend Hilary was there too! So good to see old friends.
Kathy, me, and Hilary
After a visit that was too short, we were off to spend the rest of our week at home.
