David has a football training game for the wii. He introduced Oliver to it last week. Needless to say Oliver is in love with it! David even hooked up the sensors for him and it is awesome to watch!

learning about the camera
I almost always have my camera in my hand or close by. Oliver naturally is starting to get interested and wanted to try it out. It was fun to see him try to figure it out and then watch how proud he was when I actually got onto the screen :)
dog bowl
David took Oliver to the Bats game. Apparently it was dog night at the ball park and they were giving out free dog bowls... why not get one when you don't have a dog? Oliver decided it was definitely a good idea to eat his cereal out of it! This boy cracks me up!!
bridge and splash park
One of our first big outings together was to the bridge downtown and an impromptu visit to the splash park.

Ruby wasn't in the mood to take in the views from above the Ohio River... maybe next time :)
I had totally forgotten that the splash park was right there at the bottom of the bridge. It was hot and of course Oliver wanted to get wet. So we stripped down to his shorts and went for it. I think he giggled for an hour straight!
He was a little hesitant at first but eventually got into it and was running wild through the water.
zoo
David was able to take Oliver to meet Tim & Pam and the kids at the Louisville Zoo. Ruby and I stayed home but it sure looks like they had a lot of fun!!
David said the zebras were the best. They were chasing and playing with each other. It sounds like they got to see quite a show!

Oliver has been amazing with Ruby!! I was so nervous that he would be throwing the ball at her to play catch or squeezing the life out of her with his hugs but he has been gentle and aware of her all the time. When we put her on her mat for the first time he spent quite awhile showing her each animal and telling her what they are. It was so sweet. He is going to be one great big brother!
grandma and grandpa st. louis came to visit
Mark and Cindy were able to come down for a visit after Ruby was born too. We had a nice time visiting. Mark, David and Oliver went to the Slugger Museum... It was definitely a place all three of them loved! We also got to go for a long walk together and one night David and I were able to go out for a few hours. We are so glad they were able to come and get some quality time with our kiddos!

At Tom Sawyer they had a remote control airplane show. David took Oliver and from the pictures I'd say they had a pretty good time!
Bouncies... doesn't get any better for our jumping boy!
David said after they watched the planes for awhile they went for a hike on the trails. So glad they were able to get some special time together.

ruby comes home
On the day Ruby got to come home, we packed up our stuff and put our first little pink outfit on her. I had bought this outfit "just in case" but was certain I would be giving it to my sister when she had her little girl. I was so excited to actually get to use it!
Daddy got some quality time with Ruby before we left :)
We packed her into the car seat and headed for home!
I didn't know how Oliver would react when we walked in the door with Ruby but he was precious. He came right over and talked to her and was jumping up and down with excitement. He was quick to give lots and lots of kisses :)
We were also greeted by the cute signs and beautiful flowers.
Grandma earned some good snuggle time with Ruby after watching our wild man for 2 days! I am so lucky to have a mom that comes in and takes care of everything so I don't have to. Thanks Mom!!
