30 years... it's so hard to believe. As I stop and think about my 20's I realize that it was a decade full of big accomplishments and changes... graduated from Bluffton, got married, moved to Kentucky, wrote a thesis, ran a marathon, got my first "real" job, moved from Lexington to Louisville, graduated with a Master's from Kentucky, and the best accomplishment of all, I had my first baby. The last decade is going to be hard to top! I don't think my 30's will have so many big things (I have no intention of going back to school!) but we are already expecting baby #2 and I am really looking forward to spending this next phase of life as a Mom and wife. Both of which might be the best and most challenging adventure yet! I do have a small list of things I'd like to do... a bucket list of sorts... get more involved with my photography (actually get up the nerve to start taking pictures for people), run a half-marathon, buy a house, plant a garden (I am determined to find my green thumb!), spend as much time as possible getting to know my babies and helping them make the best childhood memories, and learn to sew cute things like my mom. I'm looking forward to 30, I think it is going to be a time of settling in and enjoying who I am and what I've accomplished and a little less time trying to "get there." It's time to be 30 FLIRTY and FABULOUS :)
For this big birthday, David planned a wonderful weekend for me with a lot of people I love. I started the day with a visit from my dear friend Kathy. I hadn't seen her in way to long and it was such a blessing to have time to sit and talk. Then my Mom made a delicious brunch for everyone there. I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful family!
After brunch, David sent me with only an address into Bowling Green. When I found where I was going I was so excited to find out I was getting a maternity massage followed by a pedicure with these 2 beautiful women!!
After that we made our way to the BG hockey game. Waiting at the door was a bouquet of flowers and balloons for me. Then later in the game they announced my birthday!
