Earlier this year Doug called and asked if he could get tickets to an OSU game would I be interested in going. I have always wanted to go but never had the chance so I jumped at the opportunity! It turned out that most of us were able to go! Except Den and Carrie who were in Texas and David who had a cross country meet in Georgia. Hopefully they'll all be able to come next time. It has been a really long time since the 4 of us were together without any kids. We had a blast and I think this will need to be an annual event!
We did a little tailgating before the game. Does it make us hardcore fans if we stood in the cold and rain to tailgate?! I think so!

Before the game we took lots of pictures in front of the stadium, did a little shopping, watched the band walk thru and then the football team. While we were standing and waiting, the boilermaker engine came by and Tom said to Mom "there goes the boilermaker, you know what a boilermaker is right?" to which she replied "of course I know what it is, they're from Arkansas!" Thus began a joke that may never end!!
Before the game we went to watch the team walk-thru. It was pretty awesome. I got to shake Urban Meyer's hand! The whole team was wearing suits and ties and were giving high-5's. I swear some of their hands are twice the size of mine!
I didn't get to take my camera in to the game so this is as good as I could get on my phone. I was really excited to see the script Ohio in person! Everything about our first experience was amazing! Well except the majority of the game. For most of the game they looked pretty bad. In fact they were losing to Purdue with only a few minutes to go. They somehow were able to get it together, score a touch down and get the 2 pt conversion to tie and go into overtime! The Buckeyes eventually won in overtime! It was a very exciting way to end a rather painful game.
I am already looking forward to doing this again next year!!
