first bubble bath

Grandma H gave Ollie some bubble bath a few weeks ago.  So we were finally able to put it to the test tonight!  At first Oliver was not so sure but then I showed him how to put the bubbles in his hands and then start clapping so bubbles go everywhere.  He loved that!

Oliver LOVES to run.  Anytime he has open space he just wants to go! We went to the park the other night and instead of going to the playground we walked/ran the trail.  I think he may have loved this more than the slides. 

He stops and says "ready, set, set, set, set.... (you never know when it will end), go!" and takes off running.  He also started putting one foot on it's toe and starting with his arms across his body before he goes.  He must have been paying more attention than I realized at all of those track meets.

While we were going this girl ran by.  Oliver was giggling and got so excited he could hardly stand it.  Then he took off after her.

Like Father, Like Son!

We finally made it to the Louisville Zoo! It is a great zoo and we are now officially members :) We went with the Parrotts' and had a lot of fun watching Oliver and Anderson discover the world.

Right when we walked in there was this big water ball. As you can see Oliver was not too sure at first.  But never fear, Ruthie showed him the way and then of course we had to pull him away before he was totally soaked.

When we were looking at the giraffes we could hear the lion roaring.  It was amazing to watch all of the other animals stop in their tracks.  When we came over he was still very alert but wasn't making much noise.

Then we headed to the petting zoo.  Oliver was really funny waving hi to the goats and then petting them but he was really more interested in running around.  He would pet the goat then take off running.

Once we were out of the petting zoo he was off!

Then we found a playground where he played and played.  There was a swinging bridge that he would run across and start giggling and then jump on it.

Anderson had fun crawling back and forth too!

 Once we got to the gorillas, the Parrotts had to leave so Oliver and David waved goodbye.

Then it was on to David's favorite... the tigers! Sadly they were sleeping in the shade.  Hopefully we'll get to see them in action another time.

We finished our day on the carousel.  Oliver was really excited to be on a "neigh." 

Can't wait to go for another visit!

It was quite possibly the hottest day in May ever!! Luckily the wedding was later in the day so it was starting to cool down.  Everything went well and Shannon looked amazing.  She is now Mrs. Shannon Martinez.

Well they were almost all looking. Oliver was singing if you're happy and your know "and your face will surly show it."

Mom, Shannon and Angel... there is no Tom because he was at the hotel sick.  He ended up getting dehydrated on friday and was so sick and weak that he couldn't come back out in the heat.  It was heart breaking not to have him there.

My Uncle Jon, Aunt Lori and the entire clan were able to come.
