a warm day in january

We took advantage of this beautiful day and went to the park.  I love watching Ollie's little face as he figures things out and gets so excited about swinging, sliding, running, and climbing!

 

more pillow fun

Here's just a little more fun with the couch cushions. Now that we've played this game Oliver seems to think that the cushions belong on the floor all of the time and not the couch... this could get interesting!

basketball

As I said before Ollie is obsessed with balls.  About a week ago I got out our regular basketball and he hasn't stopped carrying it around. He is so strong it amazes me.  He likes to play catch with it and he throws that giant ball over his head!!

I want to be like Dad!

This weekend David was wearing his hat. Oliver NEEDED to be wearing the hat too. It was too cute watching him try and do exactly what David did.

popcorn

I think Oliver loves popcorn as much as his Mom and Dad, Grandma, and Uncle D do!!  We usually only give him little pieces but I figured he has a few molar now he should be able to chew the real thing! So we made a big bowl of popcorn and he went to town!!

He made sure Mom and Dad both got a few pieces too.

Oh the excitement of throwing the pillows on the floor to climb and play!!

This boy is a wild child!! He loves to climb and jump and spin!

We had fun jumping on the pillows and then tackling each other followed by lots and lots of tickles.

sweet potato fries

This weekend I made sweet potato fries.  Oliver woke up from his nap just in time to help me. 

He put them into the bag.

Then took a minute to cheer for his good work.

Next, he shook the bag.

And of course tasted a few. 

They turned out ok... not the best but we sure had fun making them!

package in the mail

I left my hair straightener at my mom's over Christmas.  This week she mailed it to me along with some goodies for Oliver.  He had the best time ripping open the package. 

It took him about 3 whole seconds to tear into one of the cookies!

winter swimming

We joined the YMCA a couple of weeks ago.  On friday I went to work out and David took Oliver to play basketball and swim... can't you see the excitement on his face?!

They had a lot of fun. David said Oliver wasn't too sure about the pool at first but eventually was sticking his face in the water, blowing bubbles, and kicking his feet.  And needless to say, he loved the gym.  He carried around the big basketball and chased it.  David even held him up to get a slam dunk!

Oliver found my ear warmer today... he wore it around most of the night :)

Then he decided to go for a little moose ride.
